Snapchat testing new Crowd Surf video feature
Snapchat is testing a new feature called Crowd Surf, which takes individual video clips from users and combines them.
According to 9to5Mac, the feature combines the clips into a “seamless video that’s longer than 10 seconds”.
Crowd Surf is “powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning to recognise when a lot of people are recording the same concert at the same time”, stated the report.
It pieces together user clips from the event to form videos, using different angles and a constant audio feed.
Users can navigate to the “Featured” section below stories on Snapchat to see videos made using the Crowd Surf feature.
