The most popular browsers and operating systems for PCs and smartphones

NetMarketShare data for July 2018 shows that Google Chrome remains the most popular browser on PC and mobile, while Windows 7 remains slightly ahead of Windows 10 across the desktop platform.

Chrome’s share of the desktop market saw a strong increase since the previous month’s figures, dominating Internet Explorer and Firefox.

The desktop market data shows that Windows 7’s operating system market share has fallen to around 41.23%, four percentage points higher than that of Windows 10.

On the mobile side, Android is still the most popular OS by far, although its adoption by version remains fragmented compared to Apple’s iOS 11.4 installation base.
