Facebook chat app for Android, iPhone launched

Facebook have released their new app for Android and iOS called “Messenger”. Users will be able to chat with contacts, create group chats, and share their locations and photos.

In March 2011, Facebook acquired a messaging platform called Beluga, which Facebook Messenger appears to be built on.

Messenger is available for free download on both the Android Marketplace and the iOS App store.
