Airbnb hit with major outage
Airbnb users around the world are reporting on social media that the website is not working for them.
Attempting to use the Airbnb website from South Africa results in a 503 error being returned with the following message:
“Airbnb is temporarily unavailable, but we’re working hard to fix the problem. We’ll be up and running soon! Keep an eye on our Twitter account for updates.”
The Airbnb support Twitter account acknowledged the issue at 20:43 and said that its team is working on a fix.
Downdetector started tracking problems with Airbnb between 19:40 and 19:55. At 21:35 the problems were still ongoing.
