TopTV website hacked?

Laptop malware spill

The TopTV website has been modified to serve potentially malicious content from a URL pulled in with code that seems to have been injected into the site by attackers.

Both Nod32 and avast! reported blocking an HTML “Iframe” virus when one navigates to the TopTV website.

Viewing the source code revealed an iframe at the bottom of the TopTV website that seems out of place.

Iframes allow web developers to embed one webpage inside of another. It has become a popular (and the default) way to embed YouTube videos, for example.

The Iframe at the bottom of the TopTV website points to a dynamic page at http://rokantop [dot] comeze [dot] com.

A lookup of this URL revealed that it is listed by various sites as “suspicious.”

TopTV did not comment on the issue by the time of publication.
