Takealot launching daily deals at Black Friday prices

Takealot is gearing up for The Ultimate Checkout, one of its biggest annual sales, which will run from 24 to 28 July.

South Africa’s biggest online retailer has promised epic deals on their most wished-for, highest-rated, most searched, and top-trending products.

“It’s all the deals shoppers really want,” Takealot said.

“The Ultimate Checkout features some of the best deals of the year, all based on an analysis of aggregated behaviour and trends of over 90 million searches, reviews and wish lists from millions of shoppers.”

Takealot said shoppers can expect a wide range of popular deals from South Africa’s most popular brands to TikTok’s must-have products.

It will also run Daily Deals on products at 2023 Black Friday prices.

Takealot said its recently launched subscription service, TakealotMore, will also feature in The Ultimate Checkout.

“This subscription service offers unlimited fast, free delivery and collect options on Takealot,” it said.

TakealotMore also offers free delivery for orders on Mr D, including restaurants, Pick n Pay groceries, and shops.

It also offers free TakealotNow deliveries — Takealot’s on-demand service that guarantees deliveries within minutes via the Mr D App on hundreds of products.

“This year, TakealotMore subscribers will unlock an exclusive offer — a unique Takealot coupon offering an extra 20% off the Ultimate Checkout Sale with a maximum discount of R1000,” the retailer said.

“By linking your Mr D account to TakealotMore, shoppers will also get additional Mr D coupons to enjoy across the Mr D app.”

Takealot said this year’s sale will feature another bumper livestream event over three days — 24, 25, and 26 July — with big prizes, exclusive coupons, entertainment, and other surprises.

“For those eager to snap up the Ultimate deals before anyone else, tune in to Takealot’s Instagram or Facebook page at 00:01 on 24 July for an epic kick-off featuring limited edition deals of up to 50% off.”
