Largest websites in South Africa
Effective Measure released its September 2013 website traffic statistics, revealing that News24 is the largest site in the country.
Effective Measure is the official traffic measurement partner of the Digital Media and Marketing Association (DMMA), and provides accurate traffic statistics for South Africa’s top websites.
According to the September 2013 Effective Measure statistics, News24 was the top website in South Africa with 5.1 million unique browsers.
Howzit.MSN ranked second with 2.4 million unique visitors and IOL third with 2.2 million unique browsers.
When it comes to only South African traffic (hence only browsers from South Africa), News24 was also the top website with 3.6 million unique monthly readers.
