Samsung “penis billboard” fake

The photos of a Samsung billboard doing the rounds online in which the phrase “The pen is mightier than the finger” is misspelled as “The penis, mightier than the finger”, are fake, a Samsung spokesperson has told MyBroadband.
Articles on both Channel24 and Sowetan Live suggested that the photos were genuine, with Sowetan reporting that similar billboards were found in Egypt, Pakistan, Kenya, and France, “according to Tweets”.
When asked about the photos, Samsung provided the following statement:
The alleged typo on a Galaxy Note 10.1 billboard, of course, is fake. Attached is the actual photo from Cromford Road, London as well as the link on Google maps of the actual site below.
Samsung provided a Google Maps link, as well as the following photographs of what it said is the actual billboard:
