This is Uber’s first self-driving taxi

Uber is testing its first self-driving car in the US, a hybrid Ford Fusion which looks “like it should be driven by a superhero”.

The car – pictured above – has a self-driving mode, which is being put through its paces under the watch of a human driver.

“The Uber ATC car comes outfitted with a variety of sensors including radars, laser scanners, and high-resolution cameras to map details of the environment,” said Uber.

“Self-driving cars have the potential to save millions of lives and improve quality of life for people around the world.”
