Consumer Reports has released its Car Reliability Survey for 2016, detailing which new vehicles are the most reliable.
“Every year we send Consumer Reports subscribers our Annual Auto Reliability Survey to determine which vehicles are likely to be dependable and which ones are an invitation to years of headaches,” said Consumer Reports.
Over 500,000 vehicles – covering 300 models – were analysed as part of the report.
“We study 17 trouble areas, from nuisances – such as squeaky brakes and broken interior trim – to major bummers, like out-of-warranty transmission repairs or trouble with four-wheel-drive systems.”
This data is then combined with track testing, owner-satisfaction data, and safety data to reach the final vehicle ranking.
