TimesLive has reported that two more Ford Kugas burst into flames in South Africa today.
This brings the number of Kugas which have caught alight since December 2015 to 51, stated the report.
The first incident took place outside the Nelspruit Mediclinic as a woman was parking the Kuga.
The second incident took place in Pretoria, at a traffic intersection outside the Kgosi Mampuru II Prison.
No injuries were reported in either case.
The latest fires come after Ford South Africa issued a safety recall of 1.6-litre Kuga models this week.
Owners were told overheating could lead to fires in the engine and were advised to bring their vehicles in for repairs.
