Cape Town start-up Hubble has partnered with Uber to deliver interactive entertainment to Uber riders.
Touchscreens installed in Uber vehicles will allow riders to view information about attractions and restaurants, and allow them to select from various local entertainment options.
According to Uber, the partnership will help it achieve rider experience objectives.
“It meets many of our overall company objectives, such as improving rider experiences inside driver-partners’ vehicles by providing complete user-controlled entertainment,” said Diveshan Moodley, Uber Special Projects.
The partnership provides a platform for advertisers to engage with Uber riders while they browse the entertainment options available.
Hubble touchscreen installations will roll out throughout 2017, with 2,000 screens expected to be installed by the end of the year.
