Centurion vehicle licensing centre offline because of robbery

The City of Tshwane has confirmed that the disruption of licensing services at the Centurion Licensing Centre are due to a robbery.
Items taken include computers, eNatis screens, and camera equipment.
“The theft prompted an immediate shutdown of the centre to allow the SAPS to conduct an investigation,” it said.
Certain services will resume on 6 July. These include:
- Learner licence testing.
- Practical driver testing.
- Collection of new licence cards.
No licence renewals will be done until further notice. Residents are advised to visit the Akasia or Bronkhorstspruit Licensing Centres.
The robbery follows reports of a break-in at the Hawks’ head office in Silverton last night.
