VW’s Sedric shuttle is heading to production

Volkswagen said its self-driving electric shuttle is heading to production, TechCrunch reported.

The company made the announcement during a media conference, but did not detail a definite start date.

The Sedric currently exists as a concept vehicle and has been displayed at various motor shows around the world.

Volkswagen said the Sedric name is derived from “self-driving car”, and that its vehicle is the company’s first level 5 autonomous car.
