Ford Sync 3 gets support for Waze

Waze

Ford has announced support for Waze in its in-vehicle infotainment systems via the AppLink feature of cars equipped with Sync 3.

This will let users run Waze on their iPhone, project it to the car’s screen, and control it using voice commands, the vehicle manufacturer said.

To use the function, your phone needs to be running iOS 11.3 and the car needs version 3.0 of Ford’s Sync software.

Engadget reported that Ford is also working on a version for Android users.

On Ford models which support Android Auto, it is already possible to run Waze on the car’s display.
