Can you pass matric mathematics literacy?

Mathematics literacy is an alternative to mathematics for learners in grades 10, 11 and 12, and provides a less-challenging option than its more traditional counterpart.

The purpose of mathematics literacy is to provide learners with an awareness and understanding of the role that mathematics plays in the modern world.

While mathematics focuses on more formal and abstract mathematical concepts, mathematics literacy focuses on real-life uses for mathematics.

Mathematical literacy is therefore not merely an easier version of mathematics, but rather a whole new subject with completely different content.

Many matric students opt for mathematics literacy instead of mathematics because it is easier. The 2014 pass rate for the subject was 84.1%, compared to 53.5% for mathematics.

But how easy is matric mathematics literacy? To answer this question MyBroadband developed the following quiz with questions from the 2014 matric mathematics literacy exam papers.
