Apple was started in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne in order to sell the Apple I personal computer kit.
Since then, the company has produced many iconic products, including the Macintosh in 1984, the iMac in 1998, the iPod in 2001, the iPhone in 2007, and the iPad in 2010.
Under Steve Jobs – who returned to Apple in 1997 after leaving in 1985 – the company showed excellent growth and became the world’s most valuable business.
This growth continued under current CEO Tim Cook, even though there have been complaints about a lack of new, innovative products since Jobs died in 2011.
