Doogee Azpen tablet review

Doogee’s Azpen A733 tablet is a good entry-level tablet at R1,599. It offers the flexibility of a dual SIM and has 3G.

It is a well-built tablet for an entry-level device and the touch screen is surprisingly responsive.

Although the sound is a little tinny it is well within acceptable limits, and there are no major hiccups with the movement of videos.

This device runs on Android Jelly Bean (4.2 OS). You get access to the E-book Store, which claims to have 250,000 ebooks, OfficeSuite Pro (trial version), Game Store and Look Out Security.

The A733 comes with a 1 year warranty from Azpen for parts and labour, but the warranty is limited and does not cover things like fire, water, lightning damage, a cracked screen or deep scratches, damage to the product due to shipment, damage due to power fluctuations, image burn-in.

This tablet is an all-round decent device that offers you a host of useful features like a dual SIM and 8GB storage capacity.

The battery life is around 3 to 4 hours, but the best feature is the touch screen. Many entry-level tablets fall short in this area but the Azpen A733 does itself proud in this regard.

This tablet is available from Doogee online for R1,599.
