Watch out for this DStv email scam
A DStv phishing email is doing the rounds, asking potential victims to verify their email address by clicking on a link.
The email, shown below, appears to come from an @multichoice.com address, and states it is being sent from the DStv Connect Team.
“Dear Customer. We noticed you have not yet verified your email address,” states the mail, before instructing the recipient to click on a link to verify the address and avoid being disconnected.
The link leads to a Drobox form asking for an email address and password.
MultiChoice confirmed the email is a fake.
“We will never ask our customers to click on a link to verify their email address or disconnect their DStv services if their email address is not verified,” sated MultiChoice.
