Android’s latest security release
Android has released a security update to Nexus devices as part of its Android Security Bulletin Monthly Release process.
The most severe of the issues addressed by the update is a security vulnerability that could enable remote code execution on an affected device through multiple methods – such as email, web browsing, and MMS – when processing media files.
“There have been no reports of active customer exploitation or abuse of the other newly-reported issues,” the company said.
While Nexus devices are the first to receive the security updates, other manufacturers are likely to follow soon.
