Anonymous hacks Armscor website

Anonymous hackers have leaked sensitive data which they said was obtained from the Armscor website.
Armscor is an acquisition agency for the South African Department of Defence and other organs of state.
The attack was perpetrated in the name of the #OpAfrica campaign, which was launched earlier this year.
When Anonymous first announced #OpAfrica, it said it was about “a disassembly of corporations and governments that enable and perpetuate corruption on the African continent”.
It said it would focus on the issues of child labour and Internet censorship in Africa.
For this hack, the attackers said they were exposing the South African government’s arms trade.
Among the details released was recent invoicing information, showing who Armscor’s customers and suppliers are.
Armscor was asked for comment on the attack, but did not respond by the time of publication.
