Dropbox launches security checkup tool

Dropbox

Dropbox has launched a security checkup tool to help users improve their account security.

“The security checkup tool is a simple and accessible way to review and improve important account protection and recovery settings,” said Dropbox.

Dropbox said its new security tool makes it easy for a user to:

  • Verify their email address for when they need to reset their password.
  • Review the devices and web browsers signed in to their account, and remove unused ones.
  • Review third-party apps which have permissions to access their account.
  • Update their password if they’re worried the account was hacked or if they’ve reused passwords.
