Microsoft releases 53 security updates

Microsoft has initiated it latest Patch Tuesday rollout, which brings fixes for 53 security vulnerabilities.

According to Softpedia, 23 of these flaws allowed for remote code execution.

None of the critical updates were for Windows, but there were four vulnerabilities addressed in the operating system.

Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge received “important” fixes – with Microsoft stating that no attacks on the browsers due to the vulnerabilities have been reported as yet.

Updates were also released for Office users, which the report stated must be downloaded as soon as possible as they are critical.
