Intel increases bug bounty to $250,000
Intel has updated its Bug Bounty Program, which is now open to all security researchers and features rewards of up to $250,000.
Intel launched its Bug Bounty Program in March 2017 to incentivise security researchers to report potential vulnerabilities.
The company has now made updates to the programme to increase its engagement with the security research community.
The updates include:
- Shifting from invitation-only to open to all security researchers, significantly expanding the pool of eligible researchers.
- Offering a new programme focused on side channel vulnerabilities until 31 December 2018. The award for disclosures under this is up to $250,000.
- Raising bounty awards across the board, with awards of up to $100,000 for other areas.
