Nokia Lumia 1320 price in South Africa

The Nokia Lumia 1320, pegged as an affordable 6-inch Windows Phone device, has arrived in South Africa, Nokia announced in a press release on Wednesday, 23 April 2014.
“Like the Lumia 520, we believe the 1320 has a brilliant combination of hardware features and software experiences at a very compelling price,” said Shaun Durandt, general manager of Nokia South Africa.
Deloitte Digital director Tim Bishop told MyBroadband in January 2014 that the Nokia Lumia 520 was the best-selling smartphone in South Africa for a few months running.
At the time, Bishop said that Windows Phone sales outstripped iPhone sales 2:1.
“Predictions show that [Windows Phone] should overtake iPhone penetration by April [2014].”
At 6-inches in the diagonal, the Nokia Lumia 1320 has a much larger display than the 4″ Nokia Lumia 520, but according to Durandt “there is a definitely movement in the market towards larger screened smartphones”.
The Nokia Lumia 1320 will be available from May (2014) on contracts starting at R199 per month on all major operators, with an estimated cash price of R4,499, Nokia said.
