1GB is just not enough

Effective Measure and the IAB South Africa have released their “South African Mobile Report”, which showed that the majority of smartphone users have data packages of 1GB or higher.

Effective Measure surveyed 5,113 desktop Internet users on topics like smartphone ownership, the South African smartphone market, and device choices among local users.

“The survey results provide key insights into South Africans who access the Internet via their smartphones and tablet devices,” the report explains.

The report showed that approximately 50.9% of smartphone owners have access to greater than 1GB of data on their mobile phones on a monthly basis.
