HTC One Mini 2 price, launch date for SA
Vodacom will soon launch the HTC One Mini 2, the network announced in a brief statement on Thursday, 7 August 2014.
The device is set to go on sale from 12 August in-store and online at a recommended retail price of R7,699.
It will be available on a 24-month Vodacom Smart S contract for R399 per month, Vodacom said.
HTC first introduced the device during May 2014, saying the HTC One Mini 2 took inspiration from the HTC One M8, but added its “own twist”. The most significant “twist” from looking at the spec sheet seems to be the 13 megapixel (MP) camera on the Mini 2 as opposed to the 4MP “Ultrapixel” camera on the HTC One M8.
The One Mini 2 also has a somewhat slower processor than its older, bigger brother.
Though the new Vodacom deal book refers to the device as the HTC One M8 Mini, Vodacom has confirmed that it is the HTC One Mini 2, which has the following key specifications:
