iPhone 6 prices for South Africa revealed

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are launching in South Africa on 24 October 2014, and most of South Africa’s mobile operators have announced pre-order or pre-registration campaigns.
Vodacom will be offering pre-orders from Friday, 17 October 2014, via its website, along with Telkom which has also announced that its customers can pre-order from its website.
MTN said it has already launched pre-registrations in its online shop.
While information on the launch date and pre-order campaigns is readily available, no-one has revealed their prices yet.
Though contract prices remain under wraps, industry sources have provided Incredible Connection’s recommended retail prices for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus:
iPhone model | Incredible Connection RRP |
iPhone 6 16GB | R12,499.90 |
iPhone 6 64GB | R13,999.90 |
iPhone 6 128GB | R14,999.90 |
iPhone 6 Plus 16GB | R13,999.90 |
iPhone 6 Plus 64GB | R15,499.90 |
iPhone 6 Plus 128GB | R16,999.90 |
Incredible Connection currently lists the iPhone 5s 16GB for R10,999.90 on its site.
Update: Incredible Connection has responded to requests for comment and said that it is not yet in a position to confirm pricing.
“Since there is no listing on our system at the moment, the information you obtained is not accurate,” a spokesperson for the JD Group consumer electronics and appliances division told MyBroadband. “It might be a good guess though,” they added.
