Vodacom iPhone 6 wholesale prices revealed

Apple iPhone 6

Vodacom has informed its trade partners of the wholesale prices for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are launching in South Africa on 24 October 2014.

Vodacom’s trade partners, which include all Vodacom-owned shops, will be charged between R9,099 (Ex VAT) and R12,849 (Ex VAT) for an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, depending on the model.

However, it is likely that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will not initially be available on prepaid to consumers.

The latest iPhone is typically only available on contract when it is launched, and only after a period of time do the devices become available on prepaid.

Vodacom started to offer pre-orders for the iPhone 6 on Friday, 17 October 2014, via its website, along with Telkom which has also announced that its customers can pre-order from its website.

The following table provides an overview of the wholesale price of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

It should be noted that these are wholesale prices, and therefore exclude VAT and profit.
