Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 will be available in South Africa, and announced recommended retail prices for the two devices.
First unveiled during 2014, the two smartphones feature an aluminium unibody shell and come in hybrid dual-SIM versions where the microSD slot doubles as the slot for your second SIM.
This hybrid slot can accommodate either a SIM or a microSD card, but not both at the same time.
The devices are available through Samsung Experience stores, retailers, and mobile operators, and are priced as follows:
- Samsung Galaxy A5: R6,499
- Samsung Galaxy A3: R4,999
Vodacom franchises such as Cellucity will be receiving stock of the A3 from 30 January 2015. It will be available on uChoose Flexi 150 for R279 per month.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 is set to become available from mid-February, and will cost R349 per month on uChoose Flexi.
