Android vs iOS vs BlackBerry vs Windows

Vodacom’s latest mobile device figures show that Android continues to show strong growth, while BlackBerry’s user numbers are far lower than a year ago.

At the end of December 2014 there were 4,314,000 Android devices on the Vodacom network – significantly more than BlackBerry on 2,650,000.

Apple’s devices finished third with 914,000 devices, while there were 476,000 Windows devices on the network.

The numbers further revealed that Android showed by far the strongest growth, while BlackBerry lost 110,000 Vodacom users over the last three months.

The following table provides an overview of the number of mobile devices, by platform, on the network over the past twelve months.
