According to Vodacom’s latest full-year report, the network has 31.4 millions users – making it the biggest cellular operator in South Africa.

Vodacom currently has over 10,200 cellular towers in the country, which provide a population coverage of 99.8% and offer a 3G population coverage of 96%.

Thanks to the volume and spread of its local users, subscriber information from Vodacom is a good representation of the South African cellphone market in general.
