Free WhatsApp on Cell C promotion extended

Cell C has decided to extend its free WhatsApp promotion until 31 August 2015, the mobile network told MyBroadband.

“It is one of our most popular value-adds so we have decided to extend it,” said Cell C.

This is the third time Cell C has extended the promotion since its launch on 19 October 2014.

Under the terms of the promotion, Cell C prepaid subscribers on the Megabonus tariff plan and all contract customers are not charged and do not consume bundle data when sending text, pictures, or voice messages over WhatsApp.

WhatsApp voice calls are excluded from the promotion.
