Photos of what seems to be a new HTC smartphone have appeared on Chinese social networking service Weibo, Engadget reported.
According to Engadget, HTC has promised to announce another flagship smartphone during October 2015, and this latest “leak” claims to show off the forthcoming HTC A9, or Aero.
It doesn’t look much like the HTC One M9, the Taiwanese manufacturer’s current “hero” phone, but looks a lot like the iPhone 6.
Rumours around the internals of the device suggest it may use a 10-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 5.2-inch QHD display, and a 3,500mAh battery.
Engadget did caution that the images are tricky to verify, and that MediaTek’s X20 isn’t supposed to be ready until early 2016.
