iPhone 6S will be available through Vodacom and MTN

South Africans will be able to get Apple’s new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus through Vodacom and MTN.

Vodacom said it will offer the new iPhones, although it is “not in a position to confirm availability dates and prices for the two devices as yet”.

MTN also confirmed it will offer the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, but could not provide prices or a launch date.

Telkom said that it will definitely carry the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, and that it has initiated discussions with Apple regarding the local launch.

LTE is twice as fast on the new devices when compared to the iPhone 6, with support for 23 LTE bands.
