Apple’s iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus went on sale on 25 September in the United States and several other First World countries.
Although South Africa was not among the selected nations, some local online stores have listed the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus as special imports.
CaCell is selling the iPhone 6S 16GB for R15,999, the 6S 64GB for R16,999, and the 6S 128GB for R18,999.
The 6S Plus 16GB costs R15,999 at CaCell, the 6S Plus 64GB R16,999, and the 6S Plus 128GB R18,999.
CaCell is not setting different price points for the 6S and the 6S Plus, which Apple has done in the US.
CaCell said the iPhone 6S is on pre-order on its website, and that it is importing the devices. “We should be having stock arriving in the next 7 days,” said CaCell.
Local online store Macnificent is selling the Gold, Space Grey, or Silver 6S 64GB for R15,999, while it is asking R18,499 for the 6S 64GB Rose Gold.
The prices and iPhone 6S range from Macnificent mirrors that of the online store ShopandShip.
Jarryd Rayepen from ShopandShip and Macnificent said their stock is arriving on 28 September, with limited units available.
Online Bargains has listed the iPhone 6S 64GB on Bidorbuy for R16,499.
