Bidorbuy sells its first iPhone 6s in South Africa – here’s how much it went for

Local online marketplace Bidorbuy has sold its first iPhone 6s in South Africa, a 128GB Rose Gold model which went for R17,999.

The buyer is from Amanzimtoti in KwaZulu-Natal, and turned down the 64GB Space Grey and Silver models available for R15,799.

“The fact that an iPhone 6s was sold so quickly after being listed on the site testifies to the appeal of this particular brand. It signifies that buyers… want to be among the first to own a coveted product”, said Bidorbuy’s Matthew Avramit.

The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will be available officially in South Africa from 16 October 2015, with Vodacom offering pre-orders from 9 October 2015.
