Google Play store major redesign underway

User interface engineer at Google for the Android mobile operating system Kirill Grouchnikov has published a number of screenshots showing a new interface for Google Play.

9to5Google reported that almost every aspect of the interface has been redesigned, and that the new version of Google Play will separate apps and entertainment content.

Multiple aspects, from the Google Play splash screen to the navigation elements, will also change.

In an image macro posted to Google+, Grouchnikov said: “What you think is a splash screen in the latest Play Store is not, in fact, a splash screen”.

Grouchnikov didn’t say when the redesigned Play Store interface would begin to roll out, but hinted it was coming “soon”.
