Asus ZenFone 3 unveiled

Asus has unveiled its ZenFone 3 series of Android smartphones, The Verge reported.

The basic ZenFone 3 will be the cheapest of the three devices and will be aimed at the mainstream market.

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is Asus’s new high-end phone, while the ZenFone 3 Ultra fits into the large-screen phablet market.

Release dates for the phones have not been announced, though Engadget reported the basic ZenFone 3 will sell for around $249, excluding taxes.

All the devices feature a fingerprint sensor, the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe boast a USB3.0 Type-C connection, and the ZenFone 3 Ultra offers 1.5A reverse charging from its 4,600mAh battery.
