Tinder gets group dates
Tinder has rolled out a feature to let users make matches as groups, called Tinder Social, Cnet reported.
“Tinder Social is designed to make it as easy as possible to plan your night, get out into the real world and meet new people,” said Tinder CEO Sean Rad.
You can unlock the feature in the Tinder app and create a group with one to three friends who have also opted into the function.
Your group chooses a status such as “watch the game with us” or “happy hour”. Groups may then match up by swiping right on one another.
Only one person per group needs to swipe right on each other for two groups to be matched. Once matched, members of each group can chat about plans. The conversation will expire by noon the next day.
Tinder Social was tested in Australia, and is now available in the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and India.
