BlackBerry DTEK50 – the world’s most secure Android smartphone

BlackBerry has unveiled its second smartphone based on the Android operating system, the DTEK50, which it calls the world’s most secure Android smartphone.

The device is named after BlackBerry’s DTEK security system that the company baked into its first Android phone, the BlackBerry PRIV.

It will run on Android Marshmallow (6.0), and is available for pre-order on in Europe, Canada, and the United States for $299.

Pre-orders are expected to start shipping on 8 August 2016, said BlackBerry.
