New launcher for next Google Nexus phones leaked

Google’s new Nexus devices are set to receive a fresh look for the Android app launcher, Android Police reported.

The new launcher will no longer have an app drawer icon, and instead you will slide up to access your list of applications.

Android Police reported that you can access the new app drawer by swiping up anywhere below the new arrow in the bottom quarter of the screen. You can also tap the arrow.

To dismiss the drawer, you can swipe down from anywhere or hit the back button.

The standard Google search widget on the home screen has also been changed. There is now a calendar widget which can’t be moved or removed.

On the opposite side of the screen there is a pull tab with a Google “G”. Tapping on it launches search.

A screenshot of the changes is shown below.
