WhatsApp is popular in South Africa and abroad, with over 1 billion people using the messaging app in 180 countries.
When you meet someone you want to communicate with, chances are high you exchange phone numbers and chat on WhatsApp.
Unfortunately, not all contacts are ones you want to stay in touch with – and there comes a point where you decide to block them.
Detailed below is how you can block and unblock a WhatsApp contact on Android and iOS devices.
In WhatsApp, go to Menu Button > Settings > Account > Privacy > Blocked Contacts.

Tap and hold on the contact’s name, then select Unblock from the pop-up menu.
You can also send a message to the contact you blocked and you will be prompted to unblock the contact.
