Stop using your Galaxy Note 7 now
Customers with a Galaxy Note 7, whether an original or replacement model, must power down and stop using the device, said Samsung.
This follows reports that new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones people received as replacements during a global recall were also catching fire.
“We are working with relevant regulatory bodies to investigate the reported cases involving the Galaxy Note 7,” said Samsung.
“We remain committed to working diligently with appropriate regulatory authorities to take all necessary steps to resolve the situation.”
Samsung said consumers’ safety remains its top priority, and it will ask all carrier and retail partners to stop sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note 7.
