Samsung has told Galaxy S7 owners that their phones are safe to use, TechnoBuffalo reported.
According to the report, Samsung sent a push message titled “Safety Recall Notice”.
“Your Galaxy S7 is not an affected device,” said Samsung. “The Galaxy S7 is not subject to a recall. You can continue to use your device normally.”
This follows reports that Samsung is stepping up marketing efforts around its other devices, following the discontinuation of the Note 7.
Samsung initially issued a recall of the Galaxy Note 7 following reports that devices burst into flames.
Replacement devices then started catching alight, too – resulting in the discontinuation of the Note 7.
