WhatsApp launches video calling for Android

New beta versions of WhatsApp for Android include video calling, according to a report by The Next Web.

The report stated that users can open a contact in the app and tap the call button – which presents a Video Call option if the recipient also has the feature enabled.

The feature was reported after beta build users of WhatsApp started noticing the video calling option.

The Next Web stated that the video calling feature worked for its staff after they installed version 2.16.318 (451462) of the Android app.

A time frame for when the feature will roll out to all users was not provided.

An option to download the latest beta version of WhatsApp is available via the APK Mirror.
