WhatsApp for Android tests GIF update

WhatsApp’s recent beta build for Android features the ability to search and send GIFs from Giphy’s library, following iOS devices receiving the feature in November 2016.

According to a report by The Next Web, beta version v2.17.6 of WhatsApp for Android lets users search the GIF library when they tap the emoji button next to the text field.

Users can then select either an emoji or GIFs to place in a message.

The beta version also increased the number of photos and videos you can send at once, from 10 to 30, stated the report.
