Android is anticompetitive – Open Internet Project

Android

The Open Internet Project (OIP) has accused Google of imposing anticompetitive restrictions on Android smartphone makers, reported Reuters.

The OIP said Google is once again in breach of EU antitrust rules and has abused its dominant position to preserve and strengthen its dominance.

Google said that Android improves competition, the report stated.

This is the second antitrust complaint the OIP has lodged with the European Commission, which said it would investigate the concerns raised.
