The iPhone case that runs Android
If you have ever wanted a device which runs Android and iOS at the same time, the Eye smartphone case is for you.
The Eye case is currently on Kickstarter, and “super early bird” backers can secure an Eye for $95 (no cellular connectivity) or $129 (with cellular connectivity).
Delivery is scheduled for August 2017.
The case is essentially an Android phone, with its own display, which forms part of an iPhone case.
Its makers – Esti Inc – said it features a 5-inch FHD display, “pure Android” (Android 7.1), wireless charging, a 2,800mAh battery, 2 SIM slots, up to 256GB of storage with microSD card, and a headphone jack.
The Verge described the case as “duct-taping an Android phone to the back of your iPhone”.
