Google Maps adds real-time location sharing

Google has unveiled real-time location sharing for Google Maps on Android and iOS.

Users will now be able to share their current location with anyone with the touch of a button, which can be viewed on smartphones and desktop computers using the web interface.

To share your location, open the side menu or tap your current location on the map and select “Share Location”.

You can choose who you share your location with, and users will see that you are sharing your location when they open their Maps app.

Location sharing on Google Maps will roll out globally.
